Can the container be without desiccant?

container desiccant

With the continuous expansion of export trade, container desiccant plays an increasingly important role in preventing the goods in the container from getting damp and mildew. Then someone asked, my product looks very dry. Can I leave out the container desiccant?

Not all goods shipped in containers will be damaged by moisture, which means that some export companies will not put desiccant in the container. But once the goods get wet, it will bring huge losses. Unfortunately, the problem of moisture damage to cargo has not attracted enough attention because it has been considered a common phenomenon. This may be related to a lack of understanding of the root causes of moisture damage.

The probability of moisture damage to cargo appears random without any regularity. The wet process is not accompanied by obvious physical changes, which means slight differences in the cargo and transport environment can produce two completely different results. This is why some customers will find the first four shipments intact in the container, but the fifth batch is moldy. This means that goods in transit always carry the risk of getting wet, even if the last shipment arrives in a safe condition. This is because the temperature difference generated when the container is transported by different ships will lead to the generation of rainwater in the container and then affect the humidity of the internal space of the container.
